Destination Machine is a joint venture between Jeremy von Nida of The Insidious Device and Chad Pterodactyl of mad at dad. We think this was probably recorded sometime between 1998 and 2000. It's a classic! Never before released on this planet. Please enjoy thoroughly!
guitar, bass, vocals: Jeremy
drums, tambourine: Chad

A tribute to an era long past... ballroom dancing, night clubs, and the great musicians who kept the people coming night after night. Recorded live at the Pardella Club, Lemay, MO, in 1952, on a home reel-to-reel recorder... the music and the memories still live.
SPECIAL THANKS TO: Grandma Jones for saving everything. Aunt Dot for getting the project going. Jerry Jostes for the photos and details. Dr. Mims at SEMO for help in converting the tape. Chad Pterodactyl for converting the cassette tape.

if you're the type to look back and contemplate at this particular time of year, here's a look back at a contemplative drone set from our archive. guitarist chelsea gray was probably the hottest ticket in the STL experimental scene back in the summer of 2017, after crushing an absolutely stunning debut set at way out weirdo wednesday #18. she's been on extended sabbatical exploring other interests and investing in her young family for quite some time, but she has assured us on numerous occasions that she's not done yet. for this set she composed two short bowed pieces, and then brought up your dude davelybob to moog up a duo improvisation. also on the bill that night was st. michael, honeydew, and particle devotion all the way from baton rouge. goooooood times.

Our feed has been a bit dry lately. Here is a little something to moisten the membrane. I made this one many moons ago. Up to this point, I had been mostly recording songs on my Tascam 424 mkii. This was the first song I made using a DAW. It's just me fiddling with some guitar, bass, drums, and some shakers; but this track has a special place in my pterodactyl heart. I don't think this song is out there anywhere, but Davelybob slipped part of the ending into an early episode. The saga continues..
