On today’s episode of the Noobs show, class is in session and the lesson is line choices and knots! Together Sean and Susie break down the main types of fishing line available to anglers today: Monofilament, fluorocarbon, braided line, and copolymer line. We break down the characteristics of each type of line, pros and cons like price, abrasion resistance, visibility, and strength, as well as cover our choice for different line types for different applications.

Any good fishing line conversation wouldn't be complete without also discussing what you use to connect fishing line to lures and hooks or to join two types of line together, knots! Susie and Sean go over several different of those most popular knots for tying line to hooks and lures like the improved clinch knot, the uni knot, and the palomar knot. We also cover our favorite line to line knots including the alberto knot and the double-uni knot as well as several others.
