America COULD have united his people, especially during the mid-20th Century, as the American social landscape was evolving, Dwight D. Eisenhower was elected and became one of the most divisive presidents in our history.

What did Ike do that was SO divisive? He wasn't an extremist. Compared to today, of course, things might look different, but for the 1950's, Eisenhower's dedication to the two-party system, offering Democrats an ear in his administration, angered and incensed Republicans led by Arizona Senator Barry Goldwater. Continuing from Part 1's The Goldwater Standard, we'll follow BOTH parties through the absolute debacle that was the 1960's and 70's and how that led to Ronald Reagan winning the White House and deregulating business, media, and just about everything so Republicans could get rich - at OUR expense.
