This report deals with the concerns of outbreaks of infections from contaminated storm and flood waters in New Jersey and New York following Hurricane Sandy. We discuss the likelihood of severe outbreaks, which infections to be concerned about, and ways to prevent illness from contaminated water after a disaster.
