Tolu Ogunrinde - August 23rd - Believer's Hope1 Cor. 15 v 12-20Our Hope as BelieversOur hope is founded on the resurrection of Jesus ChristOur hope extends beyond this lifeOur hope is secure even life is uncertainOur hope changes how we live todayOur hope is founded on the resurrection of Jesus Christ.1 Corinthians 1 Peter Our hope extends beyond this lifePaul says:“And if our hope in Christ is only for this life, we are more to be pitied than anyone in the world.”If all we have is “God will make my life better here,” then our hope is fragile. What happens when we pray, but the circumstances don’t change or God doesn’t answer as we expected? What happens when following Jesus Christ brings suffering, rejection, loss, or hardship instead of the comfort we expected? And ultimately, what happens to our hope when we come face-to-face with death? Our hope is secure even when life is uncertainOur circumstances can change. Our health can change. Our finances can change. People can change. The world can change. But our hope in Christ does not change.“And we have a priceless inheritance—an inheritance that is kept in heaven for you, pure and undefiled, beyond the reach of change and decay.” - 1 Peter Everything around us may change, but what God has promised us is beyond the reach of change and decay. Our hope changes how we live today1 Corinthians 15
