Mentoring NOTES:www.OurGivenPurpose.comStart at the beginning with Elements of Anger Devotional the first 12-week session of 2020!The second 12-week session began on Thursday, May 7, 2020 Elements of Arrogance & Pride👋 Hello, Person of Purpose! You are actively participating in this 12-week session focused on arrogance and pride. Through these exclusive mentoring sessions, it is our hope that you are able to articulate your feelings in a productive way. Defining Present Moment Awareness is an example of the framework we use to help you achieve that goal. Please share your thoughts in the comment section or on any of our social media pages. We want to hear from you! As we grow in emotional intelligence, we learn to clarify, organize, and prepare for the struggles we know lay ahead. Application is the key to pursuing a life of meaning!TWEET THIS: 1 John 🟥 Glossary:Clarify -to make less confused.Organize– arrange into a structured orderPrepare– ready for use or consideration. 🟥 The Message:Pride an Unhealthy Craving for Wealth. For this mentoring session, we are going to clarify, organize, and prepare with God what it means to arrogantly act with evil intentions and why it is in opposition to God. This session aims to teach applicable techniques to help you become more aware of how you use wealth as a weapon to bring others into submission.Clarify.Organize.Prepare.🟥Three key points:* Read and study 1 Timothy 6* Define what you are craving and how that is balanced with your godly ambitions.* List the changes you can make, to tell the truth from a broader view. 🟥 Journal Prompts:* Are words evil?* Do our thoughts bend toward morally or naturally evil?* Is it advancing the path of wrongdoing? 🟥 Clarify where your money goes.* Put others first think about who they come in contact with and cultivate another section of God’s garden.* Think about how your words affect others. While the truth is accurate, we can filter it through our biases and prejudices. Think before you speak.* A healthy degree of self-confidence is good. You were made in the image of God, and with Him, all things are possible. Pray fervently for direction to bring balance and order to your life. A selfless person goes beyond his concerns and empathizes with others. They are humble, have a broader view, genuinely listen to others, put themselves in others positions, say “we” instead of “I,” and celebrate success together and face the failure alone. They find pleasure in helping others to see happiness in their face. 🔺Season 4 began with an overview of 2 Corinthians 12 in Elements of Arrogance and Pride 101 the Podcast. Our focal scripture for the next 12 weeks is 2 Corinthians
