In order to fulfill his vow, Arjuna proceeded to kill Jayadratha on the 14th day of the battle of Kurukshetra.. Satyaki entered the Kaurava army to help Arjuna. Bhimsen kills many  sons of Dhritarashtra while Drona kills several Pandavas soldiers. But ultimately Arjuna succeeded in killing Jayadratha.
