ABOUT: This short play addresses the partnership of two women and how that relationship is affected by events in a bar.

WRITER: Janis Butler Holm

Janice
has served as Associate Editor for _Wide Angle_, the film journal. Her prose, poems, and performance pieces have appeared in small-press, national, and international magazines. Her plays have been produced in the U.S., Canada, and the U.K.

DIRECTOR:  Dennis Gersten

Dennis is co-artistic director of Theatre Unlimited in the Noho Arts District in L.A. He is a founding member of the Michael Chekhov Studio in L.A., and Stagewrights, Inc. in NYC, as well as a teaching artist with Inside Out Community Arts/P.S.Arts. He has directed and performed in many original and classic works, garnering multiple awards.

ACTORS

Lily Rains  - As Ro

Lily Rains is an actor, director, and creative consultant currently recurring on TNT’s “Animal Kingdom” and recently featured in InterAct Theatre Company’s “Just Another Birthday in Bedlam,” for the Together LA Theatre Festival. Many thanks to Dennis Gersten for my narrative podcast debut.


Stephanie Michels - As  Bree  

Stephanie is an NYU graduated and originated roles in two Tony Award-winning Broadway shows The Life and Contact.

Film credits:  The Producers, Cop Dog, Acts of Violence, and The Bellman.  TV credits:  NCIS, CSI Cyber, CSI, Law & Order, and many more.  Here in LA, she is a member of The Road Theatre, where she was in Lake Anne, Petoskey Stones, and most recently via zoom in All The Good in the World at SPF11.   Stephanie has also produced and starred in the award-winning short film WALK and the West  Coast premiere of the play Slow Food.  During these last few months, she has been seen directing and starring in productions at BGB Presents.


Goreti Da Silva - As Madge

Goreti da Silva has had the pleasure of working on several of Bernadette Armstrong’s plays: Dark Stage, Unheard Voices, Simple Lives and Joan. Goreti has won The Michael Grossman Most Inspirational Award for her work in the Desert, and the Valley Theatre Award for for her work in “Park Plays: Portland”.
