Is the Father alone the One God, or is the Trinity theOne God MainstreamChristianity insists that there is one God, but for mainstream Christianity theone God is made up of three persons.   MainstreamChristianity reasons that since Jesus is God, then God the Father alone is notthe one God. Either a multi-person God (the Father and the Son, and then Spirittogether) are the one God, or the Father, a singular self, is the one God. Theycan’t both be the one God. If theFather is the one true God, then the claim that “Jesus is God” is an attempt todenigrate the one true God -- the Father. If the Father alone is the one God, deity-of-Christand Trinitarian interpretations of Scripture are an attempt to put another Godin the place of the one God, the Father.

174) Who is the Son of God in the Bible? Deity of Christ claims dishonor the Son of God, Jesus of Nazareth, the Christ.

Discussion of biblical topics and texts that show that the God revealed in the Bible is One, and not a Trinity. Jesus, who was put to death and raised from the dead by God, is the Messiah (the Christ, the Anointed) of the One God.
