This week on Once Upon a Startup you get to meet three new team members. Destiny Day-Cassidy joined the team as head of marketing after experiencing two different toxic work cultures. Immediately after being hired (literally 20 seconds after), she interviewed Natalee Wilhite. Natalee had spent months doing corporate, nerve racking job interviews with no luck. When she interviewed with Finotta and experienced the unique conversational interview style, she was able to be herself and got the job as product coordinator. Frank Luse left his job at a university and came on the team as a software engineer. Despite the fact that he has no formal schooling in engineering, he has accomplished incredible things with the tech team. The episode ends with a look into Finotta’s first company all hands meeting with all the new members, and the goal for the team is simple. $1 million in 7 months.
