Bobby Mackey's started as a slaughterhouse in 1850, inside was an ominous well. It closed in 1890 but was allegedly broken into and used for satanic sacrifices. In 1896 Pearl Bryan was murdered, either on accident or on purpose, and allegedly this involved the well. The building became a nightclub / speak easy during prohibition and then changed hands in the 1950's when at least one death occurred near the well.
