I grew up around older siblings and my parents interacting with friends. Whenever they got together, they would talk about “Old Times.” The conversations would range from the most hilarious to the most tragic. As I grew up, I was able to participate in some of those conversations. A lot of those stories shaped my awareness and commitment to community. Now, I realize that God has led me to capture many of those stories and transform them into historical movements. This is definitely a deeper look into African American culture.
