For those of you who’ve followed along, it’s been four weeks since I moved to Boise, Idaho. In that time I’ve been on the receiving end of several DMs, texts, and emails asking: Is it worth it? Regardless of whether you decide to make a big decision such as moving, it is always going to be coupled with reconciliation, mourning, grief, and fear. I’ve lived in LA for 17, and for a number of reasons I have known for a while that I was ready to move. If you’re not inspired or happy where you are, there’s nothing wrong with considering a move. Let’s talk through the emotional rollercoaster that is deciding to move, managing the logistics of it all, and settling in in your new home.
