Madison Jade is a 17-year-old singer-songwriter and fashion designer based in California. She has her own fashion company called The Maddy Co where she designs custom handmade crochet clothing. Madison’s designs have been featured in Teen Vogue and on BET’s Black Girls Rock. Outside of fashion, Madison is also the founder of Forever Uplifted, a space for youth by youth that celebrates love through writing music and community building. In this episode, Madison shared how she built her fashion company from scratch, her process of creating a design, how her identity as a Black woman influences her outlook of fashion, and how she merges her creative passions in music, writing, and fashion.
