In the 1800s, witnesses claim to have seen a hairy wild man on the shores of Rockaway Beach. And in late 1974 and early 1975, residents of Staten Island claim to have seen Sasquatch prowling around historic Richmond Town. I also discuss other New York City cryptids, such as the baby elephant of Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, alligators in the sewers, and the flying humanoid of Coney Island. Was it Mothman? The Jersey Devil?
