ESG stands for Environmental, Social, and Governance, the three main criteria for socially conscious investors when considering the long-term performance and sustainability of an investment. The practice of ESG investing began in the 1960s as socially responsible investing, with investors excluding stocks or entire industries from their portfolios based on business activities (MSCI.com).  In this episode, Sheila Schroeder talks to Investment Research Analyst, Zach Schlaht, who discusses how the ESG space is evolving, what’s next and how this may impact how investors approach sustainable investing in their portfolios.
