Had a discussion recently revolving around FRENCH TOAST, which I'd thought was a universally loved thing. It's not. There are actually folks who don't like French Toast. Some folks even hate French Toast. How? Then there's CHOCOLATE ICE CREAM, which is radioactive waste as far as I'm concerned. I sing the praises of PEANUT BUTTER SANDWICHES. But not made with "SMOOTH" peanut butter, which may as well be diarrhea. All this leads to my "America The----------" anthology series. I had a group of 'gifted' international students write essays about their thoughts on America before coming here, versus the reality of the America they experienced one brutally hot summer at Fordham University in The Bronx, New York City.
