Her experiences with the paranormal began at a young age and she soon realised that she had inherited the psychic abilities of her mother. However this was paired with her father whose military background was a penchant for logic and so MJ found that this unusual combination of psychic and cynic lent itself perfectly to becoming a successful paranormal investigator.
