Roy Mills' productions are tripped-out explorations into the outer realms of the dancefloor psyche. Always referencing 90’s UK sounds, Roy neatly weaves sound system experimentalism, post-rave storytelling and movement-focused energy into sunrise-adoring bass music and techno.His DJ sets are both seismically bone-rattling and unpredictable; always twisting, turning and catching the dancer off-guard. He played in Bristol with Cando and Monika Tenaska before the world was put on hold and was due to tour Asia and Europe with his endearing sound.Roy is a regular in the Rinse FM studios and has provided mixes to Chile’s JOIA magazine and Fake Rolex, Bristol’s Noods Radio and Sydney’s number one bass-leaning show, Body Promise.2019 saw Roy debut a single on Andy Garvey’s Pure Space records. Shortly after, he moved to London from Melbourne where he launched his label Local Knowledge Records with Melbourne stalwarts DJ Mum and Issa, while also releasing his debut LP as a private press CD. Recently, Roy produced two EP’s, an LP, and scored a short film; all due for release later this year.
