Episode 10

"The Art of Perseverance"

Today I'm talking about an inspiring story from Diana Nyad who swam from Cuba to Florida unassisted, at 64 years old. You can find the NPR story here

Just as inspirational are the stories from the final competitors at Kona to come across the finish line, here is just one of the the many amazing videos of the event (these are also good to watch on the trainer if you need a break from Zwift).

I also share my own story of perseverance and determination.

Finally, here are 3x reflections I'll leave you with for this week.

  •  Think back to when you've struggled in the past, how did you get through it?

  • Whatever your current struggle is, know that you are strong enough to get through it. My mom always tells me, "this too shall pass." like most moms, she's right.

  • Take inventory of your mental toolbox, make sure you're using everything you have. If you're out of options, don't be afraid to reach out. We all need extra help sometimes, you're not weak for doing so.

Until next time, stay on target.
