There’s a groupie in all of us. And that groupie dreams of the day they can have a conversation with their favorite artists. Well, this groupie just had that opportunity with this week’s guest. Honus Honus (Ryan Kattner) of the band Man Man has been a pianist, singer, and writer of music that I’ve been in love with since about 2008. I’ve been fortunate enough to witness the live show five times now and can promise you this: even if you feel the music isn’t your most favorite thing in the world, you’re going to have THE best time. We cover a whole lot, from influence to band name ownership, infomercials about walking, and a love song for Ma Anand Sheela from the documentary Wild Wild Country. Those last two subjects come out of Man Man’s latest album Dream Hunting in the Valley of the In-Between, a culmination of where Honus Honus’ career has led him to today.
