I have always had a love for street art, and it started in high school. This boy who grew up in the country loved the culture behind the form of expression in the city. Or at least the culture as I understood it.

This week's guest is someone I discovered back in those high school days when I was turning garage sale stickers into pictures and phrases and slapping them in the boy's locker room at school. Justin Pape was known as We Kill You (WKY) when I discovered him. His street art was incredibly simple, featuring a black sharp toothed mouth and round eyes on a white background. It was the minimal look that attracted me at the time. And upon rediscovering him, I found that he'd taken his art to professional heights.

We talk about his early days getting into art, from making skateboard decks, to wheat pasting his WKY art throughout Toronto, Ontario. His time spent designing art for the hotel industry, marketing pieces for Indigo Books, sculptures for galleries, and record sleeves for musicians. There's much more and a lot to walk away with this week, so tune in!
