I trust you guys. Enough to present to you, Emily Buchanan, my wife. The owner and artist of Ebb & Flo Studio, where she paints exquisite portraits of people's pets and sells prints of some of her more- unique pieces (did somebody say, ogre?). From Shrek to Furby, to your cat in 1920s speakeasy clothing with a raunchy story behind it, Emily paints it all.
We talk about the challenges of social media, calling a project complete, and how parenting can be the ultimate motivator to put your nose to the grindstone to chase a dream down, wrangle it by its ankles and hogtie it with whatever length of rope you can find at the time.
We were drinking El Pensador, a Tempranillo from Campo de Borgo, Spain. I give it a 3.5 for a juicy fruity approach to $9 when we bought it. The no-nose review (Emily) gives it a 3 for being cheap and delicious at the time but leaving her with a headache the next day (she's a lightweight so don't take that to heart).
