Ahoy Nature Nerds, my new friends via the interwebz.
Thank you for tuning into the SECOND installment and the next chapter of Nonbinary by Nature: a yearlog podcasting quest into the sacred and magical nonbinary queerness of our natural world (and ourselves).
This MONTH/ these Season rather, was focused around that beautiful, luxuriousness of Taurus Season and also ever so magically we recorded on earth day, which is like total Taurus Goddess energy, if you ask me, and I just had the most wonderful conversation with artist, zine crafter, and fellow nonbinary nature nerd: Shelby Rinke (they/them) talking all about the intersex icons of the savanna and grasslands: the Hyena!
We had a ton of fun talking about gender norms that confused us as kids, how hyenas have been maligned in the media, and what these rad creatures could teach us about community, social relationships, and the cycles of life and death.
Stay curious!
