After a 22 year long separation, Joseph is reunited with his father Jacob. It’s a tremendous step towards fulfilling the promise that God made to Abraham about the future of this family. Not only does God rescue Joseph’s family from the famine but God will use an existing prejudice against shepherds in Egypt to prosper this family. At the same time, there are some tremendous lessons for us today about the Good Shepherd.
