Welcome to Nearly One-Fourth, the podcast dedicated to being a space for women in architecture sharing their experiences in the profession. On today's episode I am happy to welcome one of my greatest friends of all time, Gabriella Spatz to the Nearly One-Fourth Community.

Gabby Spatz is Project Engineer at Danis and currently works within the Marketing and VDC (Virtual Design and Construction) departments at the main office in Miamisburg. She recently graduated from Bowling Green State University with her Master of Architecture and Master of Business Administration degrees. Her education grants her a unique perspective on the development of construction projects throughout their entire life cycle. Her passion for advocacy of alternative career paths in the built environment continues to fuel her work and her time on committees outside of her day-to-day responsibilities. She is also excited to continue working with non-profit organizations, primarily through planning and volunteering at events for Constructing Hope (Danis’ community outreach program).

In this episode, Gabby and I unpack many topics including but not limited to:

- How we worked through our friendship + competition in architecture school;

- The pressures of architecture school;

- Changing careers, why Gabby left architecture;

- AND! Finally a good intro into Nearly One-Fourth, who I (Haley) is and why I started this community!
