Caitlin began her schooling in nutrition with the NDTR credential in mind. Having to work full time to support herself through school her gpa suffered. However, her willingness to work hard and study  paid off. She simultaneously applied to dietetic internships and studied for the NDTR credential. The credential helped her to feel more confident in her applications and even got her a pay raise as her job as a milk tech.
