This week we are spotlighting Drisana Clifton. Initially she had the goal of becoming a RD but quickly found great satisfaction in staying a DTR. As a DTR she expanded her scope of practice by earning her Masters of Public Health and has taken on the leadership role as chair for the DTR subunit group in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. What she has done as a NDTR has not gone unnoticed. She recently Received the Excellence in Practice Award from the academy in 2019 for Dietetic Technician, Registered category!
