After spending the last week attending several military events, Heather and Nate are bringing you this episode to share what it’s like to attend and be a part of these ceremonies, balls, dinners, and more. Heather reflects that she didn’t always feel comfortable at these events as a girlfriend or fiancé - it can feel like there are a lot of unspoken rules and traditions that take time to learn and become familiar with. Now after 10 years of attending military events, Heather says she still gets nervous, but has decided to go into them with a positive mindset knowing others may be feeling the same! These events can be a great opportunity to meet new people going through the same things as you, so just say yes and go to the event!
