Katie tells her story of starting her career in pediatrics and women's health and her experience through COVID. Katie's work and care of this vulnerable population illuminated gaps in knowledge and conversation about Multi-system Inflammatory Syndrome in Children (MIS-C) and highlighted the stressful experience of parents whose children are hospitalized with COVID from the nursing perspective. So much knowledge and information is just starting to come to light about the significance and severity of MIS-C.
