Several years ago, I met #DenzelWashington along with #DebbieAllen during an unexpected audition for #GreysAnatomy. Working as an extra, I was called for a special casting, of which I knew little about except the location and a few details.Ironically, much like in 'Macbeth', while waiting to be called in, another woman waiting told us "not to freak out" but that we would be meeting with Denzel. Well, for me, I went from being completely calm and nonchalant about the audition to being entirely nervous! When I walked in the room with the group, I could barely speak. The essences of both Debbie and Denzel seemed to fill up the room like the titans of the entertainment industry they are. Denzel silently, professionally assessed us, while Debbie asked us about ourselves. They both asked us questions and were friendly and professional throughout. Needless to say, I didn't get the part, but it was a great experience!And in the years since, I've wondered how my reaction might have been different if I didn't know beforehand. And that is one of the quintessential questions of 'Macbeth'.
