Show notes

The #MeToo movement spread virally in October 2017 as a hashtag used on social media to help demonstrate the widespread prevalence of sexual assault and harassment, especially in the workplace. It followed soon after the public revelations of sexual misconduct allegations against Harvey Weinstein.

Emily Richey-Smith of Amirah Boston joins me and Kyra Drescher-Dennis to discuss the #MeToo movement and why we should pay attention to what's going on around us.

Emily will be our featured speaker at Highrock North Shore's next StoutFaith event. We'll drink beer, eat food, and talk about the #MeToo movement. We'd love to have you join us. The event will take place at the Espacio Community Space in Salem, MA on Sunday, Apr 15 at 6pm. Visit our Facebook event for more info.
