One of the best parts of having all these conversations with different musicians, is many of them started with people I personally knew. Or someone I knew had a friend, or a friend of a friend, and they thought that person would like to talk with me about ways that musicians can thrive. So in this case, I met Tribe Mafia because they were playing an unofficial SXSW showcase that two of my friends were playing at. And then after I interviewed Tribe Mafia and got to know the guys behind it, Chinasa and Dashawn… Chinasa introduced me to Alyssa Hoffmann.
