Drew Imani first came onto my radar when I noticed Keira Nova and LivFree from local Austin duo the Kaleidoscopes talking about collaborating with her. It wasn’t until about a year later, that I met her at the New World Audience unofficial SXSW showcase this spring. 
Drew intrigued me - I didn’t know much about her yet, but what little I did know of her music, and the other people I knew that were collaborating with her… they were signs to me that Drew was involved in making good music. 
Several months later, I’ve learned that Drew is a savvy businesswoman, with a fiery drive propelling her as she develops multiple streams of income to sustain herself, and her music career.
