I don’t know if it was fate, or just incredibly good luck, that I happened to meet Keira Nova in one of my music business classes. Whichever one it was, my perspective on what my own career in music could look like, is infinitely better thanks to her.

A commanding presence on stage and a prolific songwriter, Keira is as sharp and clever as she is talented. A solo artist and one half of the hip hop/ R&B duo Kaleidoscopes, today you’re listening to the first half of a two-part episode featuring the Kaleidoscopes.

One of the things I admire most is Keira's passionate drive to support local indie musicians with her duo partner Liv. The Kaleidoscopes make an effort to give opportunities for paid gigs with an audience that’s receptive to hearing new music, because they trust the curators.
