Since the departure of Dan Didio from DC Comics it has been officially stated by Jim Lee, who is currently the Publisher and Chief Creative Officer of DC Comics, that 5G will now be renamed Generation 5 and that the original plans for this new era in the continuity is being replaced with something that will be much more familiar to long time fans.
