In this episode I'm celebrating South Asian Heritage Month in the UK. How useful is the bracket South Asian in today's supposedly more diverse Western world? Should I describe myself this way?

And if we are all South Asian despite any differences then why is being mixed race South Asian like being in the movie Mean Girls?
