The case remained unsolved until advancements in DNA technology led to a suspect, but he took his own life before being arrested. The motive behind the murders and the reason for the cover-up by some family members remain unknown. The surviving victim finally found closure and the truth was revealed, but the harm caused by the crimes will never be fully resolved.
