Memento Mori, a phrase which means “Remember you must die.” On the surface, it appears to be a pessimistic concept. But on a deeper level, it can create profound meaning and allow yourself to prioritize what is important in your life. Ironically, by focusing on our own mortality we can begin to live life to its fullest potential. Before we begin with our guided visualization of Memento Mori, let’s start to anchor ourselves with our breath, our sensation, and our current environment. Find a comfortable position and, if possible, a quiet place to begin.
