~In memory of baby Alexander Bond ~

Chris Bond is the Captain of The Australian Wheelchair Rugby Team who have freshly been crowned World Champions. He is also a 2 time Paralympic Gold Medalist.

Chris shares his remarkable story of survival. He's a quadruple amputee from a sepsis infection, has survived the blood cancer Acute Promyelocytic Leukaemia through chemotherapy and bone marrow transplant and has been the recipient of 1000s of blood donations along the way.

Earlier this year, Chris and his wife Bridie became parents to a surviving twin. Their baby boy Alexander passed away in Chris's arms very soon after birth. We dedicate this episode to baby Alexander.

Its a common misconception that people can't donate blood after having cancer. Check out this link to see if you are eligible. https://www.lifeblood.com.au/faq/eligibility/medical-conditions-and-procedures/cancer
