In this instalment of Creator’s Corner, Salt is joined by filmmaker Lexi Alexander. Starting with Lexi’s career origins, Lexi shares the stories of her kickboxing accomplishments and her brief time on the Mortal Kombat stage show tour. Also covered are the creative choices behind Lexi’s work on Punisher: War Zone, and how a comic book printing production mistake led to the movie’s distinct colour palette.
Finally, the two explore a variety of topics related to Lexi’s upcoming film, Absolute Dominion, including how Lexi’s dual-religious childhood informed the script, the unique distribution model of the film, the stark reality of producing art during the genocide against Palestine, all-around good guy Alex Winter’s roles as actor and producer, and more.
Absolute Dominion releases in LA and NY cinemas on May 7th, and is available on Apple and Amazon on May 9th.
