The big 10, we made it to ten episodes folks, and to celebrate we're doing more podcasting.
This time we're analyzing the narrative, aesthetic and political contributions Frank Miller made the to the DC canon. We take the entire Miller Bat-saga into consideration in this conversation, but the majority of our analysis is comparing and contrasting two works: Batman: Year One and The Dark Knight Returns: The Golden Child. Since Miller has written every installment of the story out of order, understanding the continuity can be a bit confusing. That's why we have a publication timeline vs. continuity timeline over on our extended show notes, if you're so inclined.
We also introduce a new segment toward the end, our "Tastemaker's Grab Bag", where we recommend movies, shows, and games we've been recently enjoying. Maybe there's something there for you. We also do a quick check in on the state of AI powered content, and take a deeper dive into the background of one of these AI dummies.
