Lan & Salt M. Bank are back with a new feature, Toku Tuesday, and they're a bit more organized than their 'first' outing. In this first installment of Toku Tuesday the lads cover three different Tokusatsu properties.
We start with a look at Marvel's recent Ultraman: Rise of Ultraman mini-series, what works, what doesn't, and how successful the book works for readers new to the long-running Ultraman franchise.
Next we discuss Radiant Black, a new Toku-inspired franchise published by Image.
Last, we partially cover the newly-released Kamen Rider: Black Sun streaming series, over on Amazon. Some history is covered that is key to understanding: namely a (VERY) brief primer on the state of Japan's political climate, along with an equally brief overview of the Kamen Rider franchise. We both loved KR:BS and had so much to cover that we chose to hang a proverbial lantern on the chat, which we will return to soon in our next installment of Toku Tuesday.
