As adults, we are sometimes beaten down into feeling that the hard road is not worth it. We don't know what we'll get, so we choose to avoid paying the price.

Children can only imagine adventure and excitement.

I was reminded of this when walking with my daughter in the park. We didn't get more than a hundred yards down the path before she wanted to go climb on the rocks and explore a stump.

With all the challenges and uncertainty in life, we can sometimes forget that the hard road is often the fun road.
