In this episode Rukhsana takes a look at the feminist concept of internalised misogyny and discusses it in the larger context of societal misogyny. The intent of internalised misogyny is to cause women to doubt themselves, to cause them to question their actions and intentions, and this, in itself, oppresses women by projecting helplessness onto them. Why do we so desperately want to position women as helpless damsels in distress who need guidance and rescue?
