In this episode, we welcome Dr. Brian McHugh of SpineCare Long Island. At SpineCare Long Island, Dr. Brian McHugh is an attending Neurosurgeon, who completed his neurosurgery training at Yale University and focused on Minimally Invasive Spinal Surgery. He went on to complete fellowship training in Adult and Pediatric Scoliosis and Spinal Deformity Surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York.

His unique background working with both children and adults who have both large deformities and smaller-scale routine pathologies has given Dr. McHugh a broad experience and surgical skill set that he brings to each patient. Additionally, having completed his spine training in both Orthopedics (Hospital for Special Surgery) and Neurosurgery (Yale University) he can offer a truly comprehensive approach to patient care. Dr. McHugh works with a sophisticated multi-disciplinary team to meet each of his patient’s treatment goals.

Although he treats all neurosurgical diseases, Dr. McHugh has a special interest in the management of complex spinal deformities with minimally invasive techniques.
