Hub City Church

There are times in life when it feels like God is silent and distant and then we feel as if God has abandoned us and we want to give up on Him. This week we talk about how to remain faithful when we feel forsaken by God, and learn to see what God is building during these difficult seasons.

Our experiences with Christians can impact our view of God. In some cases it can lead to people leaving the church and giving up on God. This week we discuss how to build our faith around Jesus instead of personalities and still value the need we all have to be in community with other believers.

Facing contradictions of faith, tradition and science is nothing new. This week we look at the example of a man named Nicodemus to find clarity in times of personal questioning.

How do we respond when we feel a sense of doubt? Do we let our doubts dismantle our faith? Do we let our doubts disqualify us? Jesus encountered people who doubted him and he uses these moments to invite us into a deeper relationship with him and develop a faith that can flourish.

Haggai’s words give us hope in the potential of what God is building. God will be faithful to fulfill his promises and we are called to remain faith in following God. (Haggai 2:10-19)

In a results driven world, Haggai reminds us how God cares more about the state of our hearts than what we can do for the church. (Haggai 2:10-19)

Investing our lives in building the church doesn’t always yield quick or massive results, how do we continue to keep our passion to stay faithful to doing what Jesus has challenged us to do? (Haggai 2:1-5)

Haggai challenges people to help build the temple, but their priorities are out of balance, similarly how do we reprioritize our lives so we can invest into building Jesus’ church? (Haggai 1:1-15)
