Our discussion is a chance to relate to points in the midst of what is said. Multiple voices offer broader perspective. Our goal is not to speak in terms that cannot be contested but to offer a glimpse into what words cannot define.
Introducing thought to knowledge can relieve us of thinking that thinking is our only source. Obsessive thoughts naturally unravel, like twisted rope, when they are no longer held in belief to be true.
What is simple is easy to complicate. What can seem complicated is simple. To rely solely on thought is to ask thought try to do and be what is impossible. Trying to fix this condition with new obsessive thoughts is how this line is irrational reason is maintained. The mental obsession is a chronic disturbance. It would not be disturbing if we didn't know better.
To think of thinking as our primary source is to commit our awareness only to what we think. If it were our only source confusion and doubt would be normal and our crowning achievement and elation rather than anxiety, stress and depression our experience.
If an Absolute, unchanging, unlimited nature is our source then all that is ever wrong is complicated by what we think. Thought is a byproduct of reality and truth not the creator of either or both.
An Absolute Source is always where we are, here, now as our natural state of stability and balance. If IT IS as IT IS we are as free to feel condemned by thinking otherwise as we are to stop - no matter what we think - by not engaging in such thoughtlessness. To see a problem accurately is the know the solution was always available.
Seeking and searching to find where and who you are is futile, frustrating, and exhausting - and feeling sick and tired would accurately reflect the exhaustion of this vain attempt. The hardest place for us to think we can find is where we are when we think we're not there. Obsessive thoughts feed like cannibals on the fast food of reactive thoughts we freely choose to feed our thinking delusion-ally imagining more and more, like any addiction, will or even can satisfy us. Delusion asking ignorance to act intelligibly makes no sense than trying to reason with insanity. Listen to the voices in your head and chances are you will hear things you would never tolerate being said to you.
Forgetting tries to deny forgiveness. Forgiveness is letting things be as they are, not as we think. Beware, to all those dark thoughts you harbor, you are aware they are there leaving them no place to hide but in the dark low brow of delusional.
When all you think and do is never enough mental addiction is easy to spot. Addiction in all its forms is caused by what we think. It does not happen to us - it is created by us. Thinking otherwise maintains it when we we think what we think is true we think we are the makers of realty. Not so grasshopper.
Our conversation will offer perspective to expose what may seem improbable, preposterous, and impossible as possible. Obsessive thoughts chronically defend only what is indefensible. Acting oblivious to what is obvious will fade as illumination is introduced to thought.
Jack.
