This podcast aims to create Mental Health awareness. Also there will be opinions and discussions on how we can improve our Mental Health. I am not a doctor or a psychiatrist. I am just a person who is very passionate about Mental Health and now have a need to break the stigma that still surrounds this subject as well as researching and talking about as many aspects of Mental Health as possible. All the music on the podcast episodes are played by myself.
Episode 10. It is OK to feel down... sometimes.
Due to work commitments and life in general, this will be my last episode of the season. I feel like the quality in the episodes has started to drop. As well as this, it takes so much time to do all the research and it can be quite exhausting and a lot to take in. On this episode, I talk about how it is OK to sometimes feel down. It is natural and as long as you don't let whatever makes you feel down have a long lasting effect on you...it is OK. If you feel like something in your life-whether it has happened in the past or is currently happening to you now that may have a long lasting negative effect on you, then there are people who can help-some of who have dedicated their whole professional lives to understanding the mind and how we function. The more we naturally talk about any negative feelings or emotions that we may be going through, the easier our lives could be. Over the past 18 weeks, I have talked about a lot of different things that can contribute towards poor Mental Health as well as things that can be done to improve it. I have mentioned some facts and statistics that are quite shocking. I do believe that we can change all this with more understanding which is what I am trying to put across. Thank you to anyone that has listened and supported me with all of this. As stated, I will be back in three months time. Episode 9. The way you make yourself feel.
This episode I focus on the possibilities of overcoming and controlling negative emotions. Is it possible to control your negative emotions through thought process? Negative emotions do not have to have a long lasting impact on your life. 10% is what happens in life. 90% is how you react to it. Why are some people able to cope with problems better than others? Is it possible to let negative thoughts go? Can you control the way you feel?

Episode 8. Knowing what's to come.
In this episode, I talk about identifying feelings of sadness before they actually happen. Knowing that you will be feeling down soon. Maybe you can plan ahead so when the time comes, you may feel better? I give a couple of examples of when I planned ahead myself and experienced beautiful moments instead of sadness. https://muksblogaboutstuff.blogspot.com/2020/12/christmas-day-at-dovestones-part-one.html?m=1&zx=eb028196fb0b9732
