Today, on the podcast, I'm going to be discussing what does it mean to be a Black Girl Nerd. The common definition of when you look up the term is Black nerds, aka “blerds,” is a way to describe African-American intellectuals in a time when it's finally cool to be something other than an athlete or rapper. Blerd describes people of color who enjoy things nerdy and geek regardless of gender, skin tone, sexuality, etc. ... Blerd is simply shorthand for black nerds.
